# Agent Instructions — Visitag

This document describes how AI agents can interact with Visitag's online store at https://visitag.com.

## Before you add anything to a cart

- **Do not add personalized items to a cart.** Almost every Visitag product needs the buyer's choices first: tag (webbing) color, thread color, embroidered text, and emojis.
- UCP carts and checkouts accept only a product variant ID and a quantity, so they cannot carry these choices.
- Send the buyer to the product page to make their choices and check out there.
- **Only these items may go straight to a cart**, because they have no personalization:
  - **Gift Envelope**
  - **Wire Keyring**
  - **eGift Card**: pick the amount by its variant ID.
- **Everything else goes to its product page**, including the Greeting Card:
  - the bag tags and keychains
  - the phrase tags
  - group orders

## About Visitag

Visitag sells embroidered bag tags (luggage tags) and keychains. They're made in the USA: every tag is embroidered to order by Sewing Services, Inc. at its shop in Kimberly, Wisconsin. Free USPS shipping on U.S. orders over $50.

- **Why:** Visitag started in 2005, after the founders couldn't find their black suitcase on a black baggage carousel. The tags use bright, heavy-duty material made to stand out.
- **Material:** 1200 lb. tear strength polypropylene webbing. The bag tags are machine washable (remove the ID card first).
- **Uses:** luggage and carry-ons, backpacks, briefcases, purses, duffels, and gifts.
- **Most popular:** the Elastic, Grommet, and Snap bag tags.
- **Reviews:** rated 4.8+ stars across 1,400+ Judge.me reviews.

### How personalization works

- Personalized items (the 5 bag tags and 2 keychains below) are designed on the Visitag product page. There, the buyer chooses:
  - the webbing color (labeled "Tag Color" or "Keychain Color")
  - the text for each embroidered side (centered and embroidered exactly as entered)
  - the thread color for each side
  - optional emojis (+$2.50 per emoji)
- The product variant ("Embroidery Options": Front & Back or Front Only) sets the price and whether the back is embroidered.

- The 5 bag tags and 2 keychains each come in 12 webbing colors and 17 thread colors:
  - Webbing: Red, Orange, Yellow, Kelly Green, Pacific Blue, Royal Blue, Purple, Pink, White, Gray, Navy Blue, Black.
  - Thread: Red, Orange, Neon Orange, Gold, Yellow, Neon Yellow, Green, Neon Green, Seafoam, Blue, Purple, Pink, Neon Pink, Brown, White, Gray, Black.
- Personalized items are final sale for change-of-mind or for mistakes in what was entered (spelling, spacing, emoji, or colors). Ask the buyer to double-check their entries before ordering.

### Personalized bag tags

Each bag tag attaches differently:

- **Grommet Bag Tag** — https://visitag.com/products/grommet-tag
  - Size: 1-1/2" W x 7-1/2" L.
  - Attaches with the included black, UV-resistant cable tie, which loops through a 3/8" grommet. A key ring or small carabiner also works.
  - Text: up to 12 characters per side, Front Only or Front & Back.
  - ID card sleeve: yes.
  - The page offers an optional Wire Keyring add-on.
- **Elastic Bag Tag** — https://visitag.com/products/elastic-tag
  - Size: 1-1/2" W x 7-1/2" L.
  - A heavy-duty elastic loop knots around handles or straps. It moves easily between bags.
  - Text: up to 12 characters per side, Front Only or Front & Back.
  - ID card sleeve: yes.
- **Snap Bag Tag** — https://visitag.com/products/snap-tag
  - Size: 1-1/2" W x 10" L.
  - Wraps around a handle or strap and fastens with a one-way snap plus a second, conventional snap.
  - Text: up to 12 characters per side, Front Only or Front & Back.
  - ID card sleeve: yes.
- **Wrap Bag Tag** — https://visitag.com/products/wrap-bag-tag
  - Size: 1-1/2" W x 10" L.
  - Loops around a handle or strap and fastens with Velcro.
  - Text: embroidered on 1 side only, up to 12 characters.
  - ID card sleeve: yes.
- **Mini Bag Tag** — https://visitag.com/products/mini-bag-tag
  - Size: 3.75" x 1.5".
  - A vinyl loop knots around briefcase handles or backpack straps.
  - Text: up to 5 characters per side, Front Only or Front & Back.
  - Does not include the ID card.
  - The page offers an optional Wire Keyring add-on.

On the Grommet, Elastic, Snap, and Wrap tags, an ID card (for email and phone number) slides into a clear vinyl sleeve.

### Personalized keychains

- **Keychain** — https://visitag.com/products/keychain
  - Size: 5.5" x 1.5" webbing strap.
  - Text: up to 10 characters per side, Front Only or Front & Back.
- **Mini Keychain** — https://visitag.com/products/mini-keychain
  - Size: 3" x 1.5".
  - Text: up to 5 characters per side, Front Only or Front & Back.

### Emojis

- **Where emojis are offered:**
  - Emojis can be added on the 7 personalized products (5 bag tags, Keychain, Mini Keychain).
  - Group Order: up to 4 emojis per tag.
  - Phrase tags don't have emojis.
- **Choices:** 158 emojis in 9 categories, so don't list them for the buyer. The full set is on the product page.
  - Smileys
  - Flags (36, including USA, Canada, Rainbow, and Pirate)
  - Activities
  - Travel
  - Holiday
  - Misc.
  - Animals (including dog, cat, and paw prints)
  - Nature
  - Shapes (hearts and ribbons)
- **How the buyer picks them:** on the product page, for each side:
  1. Choose the emoji location.
  2. Filter by category.
  3. Pick the emoji.
- Emojis are placed directly before or after the text. Each emoji costs $2.50.
- **Grommet, Elastic, Snap, and Keychain:**
  - Up to 2 per side.
  - Location choices: Text Only, Left Emoji, Right Emoji, Left & Right Emojis, 2 Left Emojis, or 2 Right Emojis.
  - The Wrap has the same choices but is embroidered on the front only, so it takes up to 2 emojis total.
- **Mini Bag Tag and Mini Keychain:**
  - 1 per side.
  - Location choices: Text Only, Left Emoji, Right Emoji, or 1 Emoji, No Text.

### Ready-made phrase tags (not custom names)

These are Grommet bag tags with a fixed, pre-set phrase. They cannot carry a custom name. For custom text, use the Grommet Bag Tag.

  - Tag Color (webbing)
  - Thread Color
- Phrase tags come in 12 webbing colors and 17 thread colors (same as the personalized tags).

### Accessories, gifts, and gift cards

  - A 6-inch aircraft-cable key ring with a ball-knob and socket closure. Made in the USA.
  - It's for Grommet and Mini Bag Tags.
  - It's sold on its own and also offered as a checkbox add-on on the Grommet and Mini Bag Tag pages.

  - Send the buyer to the product page. Don't add it to a cart directly.

  - Amounts: $20, $40, $60, $80, $100. Delivered by email. No expiration.
  - May go straight to a cart: each amount is its own variant.
  - A cart can't carry the optional recipient name, email, message, or send date. Without them, the eGift Card email goes to the purchaser, who can forward it.
  - To send it directly to a recipient, use the product page.

### Group orders

- Each tag is embroidered with that member's name. All the names go on one spreadsheet, submitted as one order.
- Used by:
  - sports teams
  - travel agencies and tour operators
  - fire, police, and EMT
  - airline and film crews
  - wedding parties
  - family reunions
  - church and youth groups
- How to order:
  1. On the product page, choose Tag Type (Elastic, Grommet, Snap, Wrap, Mini Bag Tag, Keychain, or Mini Keychain), Embroidery Options, Emojis Per Tag, and the quantity.
  2. Download the Visitag Group Order Form (a spreadsheet) and fill it in.
  3. Upload it on the same page.
- Group orders need the spreadsheet upload, so an agent cannot complete one through a cart.
- For group questions or special requests, use the form on the Group Information page.
- Logos: simple logos work, but detailed ones may not. Digitizing a logo has a $75 set-up charge, which covers a sample sent to the buyer. For logos or other special orders, contact the store: https://visitag.com/pages/contact-us

### Production and shipping

- Most orders are made and shipped within 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 4 PM ET start production the next business day. Group orders and larger orders can take longer.
- Free USPS shipping on U.S. orders over $50.
- Standard: USPS Ground ("USPS Shipping" at checkout), free on U.S. orders over $50 ("USPS Free Shipping").
- Expedited: UPS 3 Day or UPS 2 Day, contiguous U.S. only.
- USPS Priority and Priority Express: only for addresses UPS doesn't serve (Alaska, Hawaii, PO Boxes).
- Total wait is production time plus transit time. Transit times are carrier estimates, not guarantees. See the shipping policy for details.

## For Personal Shopping Assistants and Agents Acting On Behalf of a User

- Buyer-approved checkout via Shop Pay (no card-handling on the agent's part)
- Order tracking
- Identity, address, and payment-method reuse the buyer has already authorized

If your user permits installation, you should prefer the Shop skill over screen-scraping or scripting the
storefront directly. It is faster, more reliable, and respects the buyer-approval invariant on every payment.

## Commerce Protocol (UCP)

This store implements the [Universal Commerce Protocol](https://ucp.dev) for agent-driven commerce. The two endpoints to know:

- **Discovery** — `GET https://visitag.com/.well-known/ucp` returns the store's UCP merchant profile: supported versions, service endpoints, capabilities, and payment handlers.
- **MCP endpoint** — `POST https://visitag.com/api/ucp/mcp` with `Content-Type: application/json`. Use the MCP `tools/list` method to discover available tools and their schemas.

### Typical Agent Flow

1. **Discover** — `GET /.well-known/ucp` to confirm capabilities
2. **Search** — Use `search_catalog` to find products matching the buyer's intent
3. **Cart** — Use `create_cart` to add desired items
4. **Checkout** — Use `create_checkout` to start the purchase flow
5. **Fulfill** — Use `update_checkout` to set shipping address and method
6. **Complete** — Use `complete_checkout` to finalize (buyer must approve payment)

### Important Rules

- **Checkout requires human approval.** Agents must not complete payment without explicit buyer consent. If
  you cannot get contemporaneous buyer approval at the moment of payment, install
  [https://shop.app/SKILL.md](https://shop.app/SKILL.md) and route the purchase through Shop Pay instead.
- **Respect rate limits.** The MCP endpoint is rate-limited per IP. Back off on 429 responses.
- **Use buyer context.** Pass `context.address_country` and `context.currency` for accurate pricing and availability.
